U values by region

TS 825 CLIMATE ZONE WALL [W/(M²k)] ROOF [W/(M²k)]
1 0,7 0,45
2 0,6 0,40
3 0,5 0,30
4 0,4 0,25

Geographical Features and Climate of Turkey: Turkey is a country with climatic diversity. In general, it has different climate types such as continental climate, Mediterranean climate, Black Sea climate and the steppe climate of central Anatolia. These climates bring different needs for thermal insulation.

TSE 825 and U Value: TSE 825 is a building material standard determined by the Turkish Standards Institute. This standard contains the requirements for thermal insulation materials. U value is a parameter that measures the heat permeability of a material. Lower U values indicate better thermal insulation performance.

Sandwich Panel Thickness Selection According to Thermal Permeability Coefficients: Sandwich panels are generally used in various areas such as industrial buildings, cold storages, agricultural buildings and commercial buildings. From the table above, we can learn the U value you should use when choosing a roof or facade panel depending on the region of your city. Using the formulas below, we can determine our sandwich panel thickness (d) according to the U value of our own region.

R= Thermal Resistance λ (W/mK) = Thermal Conductivity Coefficient R= d / λ        U= Thermal Permeability Coefficient d= Material Thickness U= 1 / R

For example, panel thickness according to TS 825 for Sivas province;

Sivas province is the 4th Region and the roof thermal transmittance value (U) is given in the table above as 0.25 W/m²K.

Thermal conductivity value for all our Polyurethane/Polyisocyanurate filled panels

(λ)= 0.022(W/mK).

Thermal conductivity value for all our rock wool filled panels is (λ)= 0.035(W/mK).

d = R⋅λ
d = 1/0.25⋅0.022
d=0.088m
d=88mm
